Hello dear drivers! Before the coming weekend, we decided to remind you about caution on the roads and some of the adverse consequences of traffic violations.

Police in Georgia are becoming more and more demanding on road safety. Read our short post carefully and write your experience with the police − let’s try to learn from each other’s mistakes!

1. Traffic violations are recorded in Georgia in two ways:
   • Cameras
   • Police officers ( who sit in patrol cars and drive around the city).
2. If your violation was recorded by a camera, then:
   • You violated traffic rules, for which only a fine is provided.
   • The phone, which is indicated in the police as the phone of the owner of the car, will receive an SMS of happiness, which will indicate the type of violation, the camera that «caught» you, as well as the amount of the fine.
   • If you pay the fine within 10 days, you will receive a nice bonus in the form of a 20% discount.
3. If your violation was recorded by a patrol, then:
   • Liability can be either in the form of a fine, or in the form of a warning or in the form of deprivation of rights
   • If you have been issued a fine, even if you pay it immediately, there will be no discount
   • It is impossible to pay the fine on the spot.
   • Points are deducted for traffic violations recorded by the patrol.
4. For a calendar year, each driver is given 100 points, the cancellation of which during the year entails a revocation. The number of points written off depends on the severity of the offense. For example, for driving without a seat belt you may be deprived of 5 points, for talking on a mobile phone (!!!) 15 points.
5. The allowed blood alcohol content is 0.3 ppm. There is an opinion that +0.01 ppm is acceptable, but we do not recommend checking the loyalty of the police on ourselves.
6. It is not worth negotiating with the Georgian police. Problems can be much more serious than disenfranchisement.
7. Foreign rights are valid in Georgia for 1 year from the moment you cross the Georgian border.
8. You can pay the fine through the Internet application of your bank, on the position website or through the machine. Payment of the fine on the spot is not allowed.
